Il sentiero numero 406 parte dalla frazione inferiore del comune di Canistro e raggiunge il parco naturale “Sponga”. Il percorso, con una buona pendenza, sale inizialmente in prossimità del borgo per poi addolcirsi nel tratto finale. Attraverso questo sentiero è possibile attraversare e visitare i maestosi principali castagneti del territorio che danno, in autunno come frutto, la Castagna Roscetta IGP della Valle Roveto. Alla fine del trekking si giunge finalmente al parco Sponga dove la natura con laghetti, cascate e ruscelli tra prati e boschi suggestivi, si incontra con una ruralità secolare.

Trail 406
Trail number 406 starts from the lower fraction of the municipality of Canistro and reaches the "Sponga" nature park. The route, with a good slope, initially climbs near the village and then softens in the final stretch. Through this trail, it is possible to cross and visit the main majestic chestnut groves of the territory which yield, in autumn, the Castagna Roscetta IGP of the Roveto Valley. At the end of the trek, you finally reach Sponga Park where nature with its lakes, waterfalls, and streams amidst suggestive meadows and woods meets with centuries-old rurality.
