Il tracciato numero 404 permette di raggiungere la vetta più alta della zona: il Monte Viglio (2.156 m). Questo risulta essere il sentiero più noto, meta ogni anno di numerosi escursionisti. Il tratto può essere imboccato sia percorrendo il sentiero 403 che dal parco Sponga in corrispondenza del laghetto più piccolo. Il sentiero, noto anche come “Via della Serra” si snoda sempre più in pendenza tra una maestosa faggeta. Verso la fine invece diventa sempre più erto e stretto: è proprio in questo tratto di strada che i briganti assalivano e impaurivano i viaggiatori. Questo itinerario è consigliato a chi è ben allenato.

Trail 404
Trail number 404 allows you to reach the highest peak in the area: Monte Viglio (2,156 m). This is the most well-known trail, visited every year by numerous hikers. The stretch can be accessed either by following trail 403 or from Sponga Park near the smaller lake. The trail, also known as the "Via della Serra," winds increasingly steeply through a majestic beech forest. Towards the end, it becomes steeper and narrower: it is precisely in this stretch of road that bandits used to attack and frighten travelers. This itinerary is recommended for those who are well-trained.
